I remember knocking on the door of a studio with demo CD and giving it to Guðmundur Kristinn Jónsson who then called me the next day and wanted to try recording one song. That was the beginning of the making of this album that then took us, me and the band, many times around the world.\"\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e'Dýrð í dauðaþögn' was recorded in in the summer of 2012. As has become traditional, much of the album was inspired by the writing of Ásgeir's father, celebrated poet Einar Georg Einarsson. The album reached number 1 in Iceland where it has since been awarded triple platinum certification. It became the best-selling debut album of all time in Iceland.
